MID certified Length Measurement

If goods are sold in Europe by length or area, they generally must be measured with “MID-certified” calibrated length measurement machines, based on the European Measurement Instruments Directive MID 2014/32/EU. The directive stipulates that such length measurement machines must be subjected to a conformity assessment. This creates equal measurement regulations throughout Europe and the guarantee of fair trade of goods sold by length or area. While buyers of piece goods usually can check the material length themselves with a pocket rule or measuring tape, a buyer of rolled goods, especially of long rolls, can’t do this without further equipment. For such requirement, ELOVIS has developed length measurement systems in accordance with the European Measurement Instruments Directive MID 2014/32/EU.
