The measurement situation prevents the use of a transmitted light system for part length measurement? The space available for the use of ELOVIS longitudinal light grids for length measurement is not sufficient, or the process would lead to contamination? … As an alternative to random sample inspection by removing parts from the production stream, ELOVIS recommends the μSPEED Laser Encoder System for the final measurement of part lengths. μSPEED offers measurement accuracy in the millimeter range for measuring lengths up to 20m, but is also predestined for even larger part lengths. The non-contact final measurement of part lengths through the μSPEED takes place during the movement of the measured parts in longitudinal direction. The measurement serves the good / bad sorting as well as the documentation of the delivery condition. μSPEED systems are used to measure the length of profiles, tubes, plates, beams, bolts, struts, beams, rails, hubs made of a wide variety of materials.
