Thanks to the laser encoder μSPEED, submarine cables of the correct length are picked up on land with several ships worldwide and deployed on the high seas. It’s about cable lengths of several hundred kilometers. If the loaded length is not correct, this can not be corrected at sea. The ELOVIS systems work with high precision, independent of material, and are not influenced by humidity, moisture and dirt on the cables. The μSPEED submarine cable ship systems are equipped with seawater resistant housings and cable guides and are thus prepared for a long cable laying life.
