Sheet metal made of aluminum, steel, stainless steel and copper alloys must be moved at the right speed during the processing procedure. The task of μSPEED systems is to accomplish this with great accuracy on oiled metal surface, despite roll emulsion or other liquids on the sheet metal surfaces. μSPEED systems measure largely independent of the measuring material, the material surface, the gloss level permanently with constant measuring accuracy.

- Measurement accuracy with tactile measuring equipment or via drive: typical: 0.5 – 1%
- Measurement accuracy with non-contact length measurement μSPEED: typically 0.05%
