Comparing the preparatory effort to a hand-held measurement system, only much safer, ELOVIS length measurement systems can be used with a tripod. Thanks to the 0.9 kg sensor head weight and optical adjustment aid, the sensors can be build up fast, safe and positioned in correct way. The measuring distance of 120 mm or 240 mm, mounting via tripod as well as the alignment by means of optical adjustment device helps to always keep a certain minimum distance to rotating parts. The operator does not risk getting into high-speed equipment. The length measuring system is used on measuring tripod e.g. for fast calibration of several system counters.
