Non-Contact, surface-independent measurement of Bituminous sheeting.
Due to the large number of different measuring surfaces, the CTL length cutting of sales rolls of roofing membranes, bituminous foil and flat roof sheeting can only be permanently accurate with non-contact length measurement systems. Sanded surfaces or very smooth, foiled surfaces quickly push friction wheel-based measurement systems to their limits. Reliability, accuracy and longevity in length measurement are achieved with non-contact μSPEED laser encoders.

- Cutting of roof sheeting sales rollers with lengths between 5 and 50m
- Path Velocity: typically up to 400 m / min
- Measurement accuracy with tactile measuring equipment or via drive: typically 1 – 5%
- Measurement accuracy with non-contact length measurement μSPEED: typically 0.05%
- Amortization: 1-2 months, direct encoder replacement, no other modifications needed
